IP Phone Series

Installation Guide

Tools Needed:

  • Ethernet cable (Cat5e or higher)
  • Power adapter (if not using PoE)
  • Network switch with PoE support
  • Screwdriver (for wall mount)
  • Network configuration tool

Step-by-Step Installation

  1. Network Preparation: Ensure your network supports VoIP and has proper QoS configuration for voice traffic.
  2. Physical Connection: Connect the phone to your network using an Ethernet cable. Use PoE or connect the power adapter.
  3. Switch Configuration: Configure the network switch port for VoIP with appropriate VLAN settings if required.
  4. Phone Boot-up: Power on the phone. It will automatically download configuration from the TFTP server.
  5. Network Registration: Wait for the phone to register with the call control system (CUCM or other).
  6. Extension Configuration: Configure extension number, user credentials, and other settings as per your PBX system.
  7. Functionality Test: Test basic functions - make internal and external calls, check voicemail, test features.
Warning: Proper network configuration is essential for VoIP quality. Ensure adequate bandwidth and QoS settings.
