Installation Guide
Tools Needed:
- Ethernet cable (Cat5e or higher)
- Power adapter (if not using PoE)
- Network switch with PoE support
- Screwdriver (for wall mount)
- Network configuration tool
Step-by-Step Installation
- Network Preparation: Ensure your network supports VoIP and has proper QoS configuration for voice traffic.
- Physical Connection: Connect the phone to your network using an Ethernet cable. Use PoE or connect the power adapter.
- Switch Configuration: Configure the network switch port for VoIP with appropriate VLAN settings if required.
- Phone Boot-up: Power on the phone. It will automatically download configuration from the TFTP server.
- Network Registration: Wait for the phone to register with the call control system (CUCM or other).
- Extension Configuration: Configure extension number, user credentials, and other settings as per your PBX system.
- Functionality Test: Test basic functions - make internal and external calls, check voicemail, test features.
