Installation Guide

Tools Needed:

  • Ethernet cables
  • Power adapter
  • Computer or mobile device
  • Internet service provider credentials
  • Web browser

Step-by-Step Installation

  1. Unpack and Position Router: Remove router from packaging and place in central location away from obstructions and electronic interference.
  2. Connect to Modem: Use Ethernet cable to connect router's WAN port to your modem's Ethernet port.
  3. Power Up: Connect power adapter to router and plug into electrical outlet. Wait for power LED to stabilize.
  4. Connect to Network: Connect computer to router via Ethernet cable or connect to default Wi-Fi network (SSID and password on router label).
  5. Access Setup Page: Open web browser and navigate to http://linksyssmartwifi.com or 192.168.1.1
  6. Run Setup Wizard: Follow on-screen instructions to configure internet connection and wireless settings.
  7. Create Network: Set your Wi-Fi network name (SSID) and secure password for both 2.4GHz and 5GHz bands.
  8. Test Connection: Connect devices to your new network and verify internet access.
Warning: Keep router firmware updated for security and performance. Place router in well-ventilated area to prevent overheating.

Troubleshooting
