Programmable Digital Thermostat

Installation Guide

Tools Needed:

  • Flathead screwdriver
  • Phillips screwdriver
  • Wire stripper
  • Voltage tester
  • Level

Step-by-Step Installation

  1. Turn Off Power: Turn off power to the heating/cooling system at the circuit breaker or fuse box.
  2. Remove Old Thermostat: Remove the cover of your old thermostat and disconnect wires, labeling each wire with the provided labels.
  3. Mount New Base Plate: Position the LUX 500 base plate on the wall and mark screw holes. Drill holes and secure with screws.
  4. Connect Wires: Connect labeled wires to corresponding terminals on the LUX 500 base plate (R, W, Y, G, C).
  5. Attach Thermostat: Align the thermostat with the base plate and snap into place until it clicks securely.
  6. Restore Power: Turn power back on at the circuit breaker or fuse box.
  7. Initial Setup: Follow on-screen prompts to set time, date, and temperature preferences.
Warning: Electrical installation should be performed by a qualified HVAC technician to ensure proper operation and maintain warranty coverage.

Troubleshooting

Problem Possible Cause Solution
