TX500E Model

Installation Guide

Tools Needed:

  • Screwdriver (flat head)
  • Wire stripper
  • Voltage tester
  • Drill with bits
  • Level

Step-by-Step Installation

  1. Turn Off Power: Turn off power to the heating/cooling system at the circuit breaker.
  2. Remove Old Thermostat: Carefully remove the old thermostat from the wall and disconnect wires, labeling each wire.
  3. Mount New Baseplate: Secure the TX500E baseplate to the wall using provided screws and ensure it is level.
  4. Connect Wires: Connect labeled wires to corresponding terminals on the TX500E baseplate (R, W, Y, G, C).
  5. Attach Thermostat: Align the TX500E thermostat with the baseplate and snap into place securely.
  6. Restore Power: Turn power back on at the circuit breaker.
  7. Initial Setup: Follow on-screen prompts to set time, date, and preferred temperature settings.
Warning: Installation should be performed by a qualified HVAC technician to ensure proper operation and maintain warranty coverage.
