Installation Guide
Tools Needed:
- Screwdriver (flat head)
- Wire stripper
- Voltage tester
- Drill with bits
- Level
Step-by-Step Installation
- Turn Off Power: Turn off power to the heating/cooling system at the circuit breaker.
- Remove Old Thermostat: Carefully remove the old thermostat from the wall and disconnect wires, labeling each wire.
- Mount New Baseplate: Secure the TX500E baseplate to the wall using provided screws and ensure it is level.
- Connect Wires: Connect labeled wires to corresponding terminals on the TX500E baseplate (R, W, Y, G, C).
- Attach Thermostat: Align the TX500E thermostat with the baseplate and snap into place securely.
- Restore Power: Turn power back on at the circuit breaker.
- Initial Setup: Follow on-screen prompts to set time, date, and preferred temperature settings.
