Smart Temperature Control

Installation Guide

Tools Needed:

  • Flathead screwdriver
  • Phillips screwdriver
  • Wire stripper
  • Voltage tester
  • Level
  • Drill (if needed for mounting)

Step-by-Step Installation

  1. Turn Off Power: Turn off power to the HVAC system at the circuit breaker to ensure safety during installation.
  2. Remove Old Thermostat: Carefully remove the cover of your existing thermostat and disconnect wires, labeling each wire according to its terminal.
  3. Mount New Base Plate: Use the provided screws to mount the Lux thermostat base plate to the wall, ensuring it is level.
  4. Connect Wires: Connect the labeled wires to the corresponding terminals on the Lux thermostat base plate (R, C, W, Y, G, etc.).
  5. Attach Thermostat: Align the thermostat unit with the base plate and press firmly until it clicks into place.
  6. Restore Power: Turn the power back on at the circuit breaker.
  7. Initial Setup: Follow the on-screen prompts to set up time, date, temperature preferences, and system configuration.
Warning: Installation should be performed by a qualified HVAC technician to ensure proper wiring and system compatibility. Incorrect installation may damage your HVAC system.

Troubleshooting

Problem Possible Cause Solution
Blank display Dead batteries, power loss, or wiring issue Replace batteries, check circuit breaker, verify C-wire connection
