Installation Guide
Tools Needed:
- Screwdriver (flat and Phillips)
- Drill with 1/4" bit
- Level
- Wire stripper
- Voltage tester
Step-by-Step Installation
- Turn Off Power: Turn off power to the HVAC system at the circuit breaker to prevent electrical shock.
- Remove Old Thermostat: Carefully remove the cover of your old thermostat and disconnect wires, labeling each wire with provided labels.
- Mount Backplate: Position the Lux thermostat backplate on the wall and mark screw holes. Drill holes and secure backplate with screws.
- Connect Wires: Connect labeled wires to corresponding terminals on the backplate (R, W, Y, G, C). Ensure connections are secure.
- Attach Thermostat: Align the thermostat unit with the backplate and press firmly until it clicks into place.
- Restore Power: Turn power back on at the circuit breaker and wait for the thermostat to initialize.
- Initial Setup: Follow on-screen prompts to set language, time, date, and preferred temperature settings.
