Installation & Operation Guide

Smart Temperature Control

Installation Guide

Tools Needed:

  • Screwdriver (flat and Phillips)
  • Drill with 1/4" bit
  • Level
  • Wire stripper
  • Voltage tester

Step-by-Step Installation

  1. Turn Off Power: Turn off power to the HVAC system at the circuit breaker to prevent electrical shock.
  2. Remove Old Thermostat: Carefully remove the cover of your old thermostat and disconnect wires, labeling each wire with provided labels.
  3. Mount Backplate: Position the Lux thermostat backplate on the wall and mark screw holes. Drill holes and secure backplate with screws.
  4. Connect Wires: Connect labeled wires to corresponding terminals on the backplate (R, W, Y, G, C). Ensure connections are secure.
  5. Attach Thermostat: Align the thermostat unit with the backplate and press firmly until it clicks into place.
  6. Restore Power: Turn power back on at the circuit breaker and wait for the thermostat to initialize.
  7. Initial Setup: Follow on-screen prompts to set language, time, date, and preferred temperature settings.
Warning: Installation should be performed by a qualified HVAC technician to ensure proper operation and maintain warranty coverage.
