Step-by-Step Installation
- Turn Off Power: Turn off power to the heating/cooling system at the circuit breaker to prevent electrical shock.
- Remove Old Thermostat: Remove the cover of your old thermostat and disconnect wires, labeling each wire with the provided labels.
- Mount New Base: Mount the TX500B base plate to the wall using the provided screws and anchors, ensuring it is level.
- Connect Wires: Connect the labeled wires to the corresponding terminals on the TX500B base plate according to the wiring diagram.
- Attach Thermostat: Align the thermostat with the base plate and snap it into place securely.
- Restore Power: Turn the power back on at the circuit breaker.
- Initial Setup: Follow the on-screen prompts to set time, date, and preferred temperature settings.
