Programmable Thermostat

Installation Guide

Tools Needed:

  • Flathead screwdriver
  • Phillips screwdriver
  • Wire strippers
  • Voltage tester
  • Level

Step-by-Step Installation

  1. Turn Off Power: Turn off power to the heating/cooling system at the circuit breaker to prevent electrical shock.
  2. Remove Old Thermostat: Remove the cover of your old thermostat and disconnect wires, labeling each wire with the provided labels.
  3. Mount New Base: Mount the TX500B base plate to the wall using the provided screws and anchors, ensuring it is level.
  4. Connect Wires: Connect the labeled wires to the corresponding terminals on the TX500B base plate according to the wiring diagram.
  5. Attach Thermostat: Align the thermostat with the base plate and snap it into place securely.
  6. Restore Power: Turn the power back on at the circuit breaker.
  7. Initial Setup: Follow the on-screen prompts to set time, date, and preferred temperature settings.
Warning: Installation should be performed by a qualified HVAC technician to ensure proper operation and maintain warranty coverage.
