Digital Programmable Thermostat

Installation Guide

Tools Needed:

  • Flathead screwdriver
  • Phillips screwdriver
  • Wire strippers
  • Voltage tester
  • Level

Step-by-Step Installation

  1. Turn Off Power: Turn off power to the HVAC system at the circuit breaker to prevent electrical shock.
  2. Remove Old Thermostat: Carefully remove the cover of your old thermostat and disconnect wires, labeling each wire with the corresponding terminal letter.
  3. Mount Backplate: Secure the Luxpro 500 backplate to the wall using the provided screws, ensuring it is level.
  4. Connect Wires: Connect the labeled wires to the corresponding terminals on the Luxpro 500 backplate (R, C, W, Y, G, etc.).
  5. Attach Thermostat: Align the thermostat unit with the backplate and snap it into place securely.
  6. Restore Power: Turn the HVAC system power back on at the circuit breaker.
  7. Initial Setup: Follow the on-screen prompts to set time, date, and preferred temperature settings.
Warning: Installation should be performed by a qualified HVAC technician to ensure proper operation and maintain warranty coverage.

Troubleshooting

Problem Possible Cause Solution
Blank display Dead batteries, power loss, loose connection Replace batteries, check circuit breaker, ensure wire connections are secure
