Business IP Phone

Installation Guide

Tools Needed:

  • Ethernet cable (Cat5e or higher)
  • Power adapter (included)
  • Handset and cord
  • Network switch with PoE support
  • Screwdriver (if mounting to wall)

Step-by-Step Installation

  1. Unpack and Inspect: Remove all components from packaging and verify contents: phone base, handset, handset cord, Ethernet cable, power adapter, and documentation.
  2. Connect to Network: Connect the Ethernet cable from your network switch (with PoE) to the LAN port on the VVX 450. If PoE is not available, connect the power adapter.
  3. Connect Handset: Attach the handset cord to the handset and the designated port on the phone base.
  4. Power On: Connect power (if not using PoE) and wait for the phone to boot. The LCD screen will display startup information.
  5. Network Configuration: The phone will attempt to obtain an IP address via DHCP. For static IP configuration, use the phone's web interface or keypad menu.
  6. Server Configuration: Configure SIP server settings through the web interface or provision via centralized management system.
  7. Test Functionality: Make test calls to verify audio quality, check for dial tone, and test all programmable keys.
Warning: Ensure proper network configuration and use only approved power adapters to maintain warranty coverage and prevent damage.
