Installation Guide

Tools Needed:

  • Network cable tester
  • Screwdrivers (flat and Phillips)
  • Punch down tool
  • Ethernet cables (Cat5e or higher)
  • Power over Ethernet (PoE) injector or switch

Step-by-Step Installation

  1. Choose Installation Location: Select a location near network infrastructure with proper ventilation and accessibility.
  2. Unpack System Components: Remove all components from packaging including base unit, handsets, power adapters, and mounting hardware.
  3. Connect Network Cables: Connect Ethernet cables from your network switch to the Poly system base unit using Cat5e or higher cables.
  4. Power Connection: Connect the power adapter to the base unit or use Power over Ethernet (PoE) if supported by your network switch.
  5. Handset Setup: Register handsets with the base unit following the on-screen prompts or using the web interface.
  6. Network Configuration: Configure IP settings either via DHCP or static IP assignment based on your network requirements.
  7. System Testing: Test internal and external calls to ensure proper functionality of all features.
