Installation

Unpack and inspect contents. Place phone on a stable, flat surface.

  1. Connect to Network: Plug an Ethernet cable from your network switch/router into the LAN port on the phone. For PoE, ensure your switch supports IEEE 802.3af/at.
  2. Connect to Computer (Optional): Use the PC Ethernet port on the phone to connect your computer, sharing the network connection.
  3. Connect Handset: Plug the coiled handset cord into the dedicated handset jack.
  4. Connect Power: If not using PoE, connect the included power adapter to the DC port and a wall outlet.
  5. Connect Headset (Optional): Plug a wired headset into the 3.5mm headset jack.

WARNING! Use only the provided or approved power adapter. Ensure cables are routed to avoid tripping hazards.

First-Time Setup

Power on the phone; it will boot and attempt to obtain an IP address from the network.

  1. Network Configuration: The phone typically auto-configures via DHCP. Check the screen for the assigned IP address.
  2. Provisioning: The phone will contact the provisioning server specified by your administrator to download its configuration (extension number, server settings, etc.).
  3. Verify Registration: Once configured, the screen will show your extension status (e.g., Registered).
  4. Adjust Basic Settings: Use the Settings menu to set language, time/date, ringtone, and volume levels.

CAUTION! Do not unplug the phone during the boot or provisioning process.
