Installation

Unpack and inspect contents. Place on a stable, flat surface.

  1. Connect to Network: Plug an Ethernet cable from your network switch/router into the LAN/PoE port on the phone.
  2. Connect to Computer (Optional): Plug a second Ethernet cable from the PC port on the phone to your computer.
  3. Connect Handset: Plug the coiled handset cord into the HANDSET jack.
  4. Connect Headset (Optional): Plug a wired headset into the HEADSET jack.
  5. Apply Power: If not using PoE, connect the included power adapter to the DC IN port and a power outlet.

WARNING! Use only the provided or approved power adapter. Ensure cables are routed to avoid tripping hazards.

First-Time Setup

Power on the phone; it will boot and attempt to obtain network configuration.

  1. Network Configuration: The phone will typically auto-configure via DHCP. Check the screen for IP address assignment.
  2. Provisioning: Enter your server/provisioning URL if required by your administrator (via the Settings menu).
  3. Set Language: Press the Settings button, navigate to User Preferences > Language, and select your preferred language.
  4. Configure Time & Date: Ensure time zone and date are set correctly in the Settings menu.
  5. Register with Server: The phone should automatically register with your call server once provisioned. The screen will show your extension number when ready.

CAUTION! Do not unplug the phone during the boot or firmware update process.

Access the main menu via the Settings button or the Menu softkey.

  3. For USB accessories, plug in after the phone is powered on.

Advanced Features

Supports advanced call handling and UC features.

  1. Call Forwarding: Set via Call Settings menu or using feature codes (*72, etc.).
  2. Conference Calling: During a call, press Confrnc or the Conference softkey, dial the next party, then press Confrnc again to merge.
  3. Transfer: Press Transfer or the Xfer softkey, dial the target number, then press Transfer again to complete. Press Cancel to return to the original call.
  4. Programmable Keys: Assign functions (Speed Dial, BLF, XML services) via the Settings > Preferences > Programmable Keys menu.
  5. Headset Operation: Press the dedicated Headset key to toggle headset mode on/off for answering and making calls.
  6. Directory: Access personal and corporate directories from the Directory softkey or menu.
  7. Call History: Press the History softkey to view missed, received, and placed calls.

WARNING! Do not assign critical emergency numbers to speed dials without proper testing and user training.

Accessibility Features

Care & Cleaning
