Installation & Setup

Unpack and inspect contents. Choose a stable, well-ventilated location.

  1. Connect to Network: Plug an Ethernet cable from your network switch/router into the LAN port on the phone. Use the PC port to connect a computer if needed.
  2. Connect Handset: Plug the coiled handset cord into the HANDSET port.
  3. Apply Power: Connect the provided power adapter to the DC IN port and an outlet, OR ensure your network switch provides PoE.
  4. Connect Optional Devices: Plug a headset into the HEADSET port and/or an external music source for MoH.

WARNING! Use only the provided or approved power adapter. Ensure cables are routed to avoid tripping hazards.

First-Time Configuration

Power on the phone; it will boot and attempt to obtain network settings via DHCP.

  1. Check Network: Press the Menu button, navigate to **Status > Network** to confirm an IP address is assigned.
  2. Provision the Phone: Enter the assigned IP address into a web browser to access the admin web interface. Input the server/provisioning URL provided by your system administrator.
  3. Set Basic Parameters: Configure time zone, language, and user information (name, extension) via the web interface or phone menu.
  4. Test Audio: Make a test call to verify handset, speakerphone, and headset audio quality.

CAUTION! Configuration changes may require a reboot. Save settings before exiting.

Controls and Interface

Access menus via the dedicated **Menu** button or soft keys below the display. Navigation uses the 4-way directional pad and **Select** button.

Connecting to Network & Services

  2. Log into the phone's web interface (http://[phone-ip]).
  3. Enter SIP credentials (server, username, authentication, extension) provided by your IT admin or service provider.
  4. Save and reboot. The phone should register and show a ready status.

Tip: For PoE, ensure your network switch is PoE-capable and provides sufficient power.

Making & Managing Calls

Supports basic and advanced call handling features.

  1. Make a Call: Lift handset or press **Speakerphone** or **Headset**, then dial number. Or dial first to auto-select speaker.
  2. Answer a Call: Press the flashing line key, or press **Answer** soft key, or lift handset.
  3. Place on Hold: Press **Hold** button. Retrieve by pressing the held line key.
  4. Transfer Call: During a call, press **Transfer**, dial the target number, announce (optional), then press **Transfer** again to complete.
  5. Conference Call: During first call, press **Conference**, dial second party, wait for answer, press **Conference** again to merge.
  6. Adjust Volume: Use **Volume Up/Down** buttons during a call for handset, speaker, or ringer volume.
  7. Mute: Press **Mute** button to mute microphone. Indicator light will illuminate.

WARNING! Emergency calls (e.g., 911) may require specific configuration. Consult your system administrator.

Advanced Features

**Call Forwarding:** Set via menu or web interface (always, busy, no answer). **Speed Dials:** Assign to programmable keys. **Directories:** Personal and corporate directory access. **Call Logs:** View missed, received, and placed calls. **Music on Hold:** Connect external audio source and enable in settings.

Care & Maintenance

Disconnect power before cleaning. Use a soft, dry cloth to wipe the phone body and display. Do not use liquids, sprays, or abrasive cleaners on any surface.
