Installation Guide
Tools Needed:
- Ethernet cable (Cat5e or higher)
- Power adapter (if not using PoE)
- Screwdriver (for wall mounting)
- Network switch with PoE capability
- Handset and cable
Step-by-Step Installation
- Unpack and Inspect: Remove all components from packaging and verify contents including phone base, handset, cables, and documentation.
- Connect to Network: Connect the Ethernet cable from your network switch to the LAN port on the Polycom phone. For PoE models, ensure your switch provides Power over Ethernet.
- Power Connection: If not using PoE, connect the power adapter to the phone and plug into a power outlet.
- Connect Handset: Attach the handset cable to the handset port on the phone base.
- Optional Accessories: Connect additional accessories such as headsets, expansion modules, or external speakers if required.
- Power On: Press the power button or wait for PoE to activate the phone. The phone will boot up and display the startup screen.
- Configuration: Follow the on-screen prompts to configure network settings or wait for automatic provisioning from your PBX system.
- Test Functionality: Make a test call to verify audio quality, check display functionality, and test all buttons and features.
