IP Phone Series

Installation Guide

Tools Needed:

  • Ethernet cable (Cat5e or higher)
  • Power adapter (if not using PoE)
  • Screwdriver (for wall mounting)
  • Network switch with PoE capability
  • Handset and cable

Step-by-Step Installation

  1. Unpack and Inspect: Remove all components from packaging and verify contents including phone base, handset, cables, and documentation.
  2. Connect to Network: Connect the Ethernet cable from your network switch to the LAN port on the Polycom phone. For PoE models, ensure your switch provides Power over Ethernet.
  3. Power Connection: If not using PoE, connect the power adapter to the phone and plug into a power outlet.
  4. Connect Handset: Attach the handset cable to the handset port on the phone base.
  5. Optional Accessories: Connect additional accessories such as headsets, expansion modules, or external speakers if required.
  6. Power On: Press the power button or wait for PoE to activate the phone. The phone will boot up and display the startup screen.
  7. Configuration: Follow the on-screen prompts to configure network settings or wait for automatic provisioning from your PBX system.
  8. Test Functionality: Make a test call to verify audio quality, check display functionality, and test all buttons and features.
Warning: All installations must be performed by qualified personnel. Ensure proper network configuration and security settings are applied.
