Thermal Receipt Printer

Installation Guide

Tools Needed:

  • USB cable (Type B)
  • Power adapter
  • Screwdriver (for optional mounting)
  • Roll of thermal paper (57mm/80mm)
  • Driver installation software

Step-by-Step Installation

  1. Unpack and Inspect: Remove printer from packaging and check for any visible damage. Verify all components are included.
  2. Load Paper: Open the paper compartment, insert thermal paper roll with shiny side facing print head, and feed paper through the guide.
  3. Connect Power: Connect the power adapter to the printer and plug into a grounded electrical outlet.
  4. Connect to Computer: Use the USB cable to connect the printer to your computer or POS system.
  5. Install Drivers: Download and install the latest drivers from Star Micronics website or use the included installation CD.
  6. Configure Settings: Set printer preferences including paper size, print density, and communication settings.
  7. Test Print: Run a test print from the driver utility or your application to verify proper installation.

Troubleshooting
